Today we attempted our first try at painting our own pottery. We have a local studio that I've wanted to visit for some time and they were having a special event today with sales and refreshments. We invited Spencer and Malia's cousins, but only Luke was able to join us today.
We let Malia go to town painting her own tile piece. I wanted the piece to reflect who she is as a toddler. It will be fun to try and do this special event every year and watch how her art work develops. Here she is working on her masterpiece.
And here's Luke working on his puppy dog with Mommy as his right-hand man.
Spencer opted to paint an electric guitar change tray.
Malia got a little concerned about the paint on her fingers.
And even after we told her it was no big deal, she just couldn't let it go. Here she is with Daddy still staring at her fingers. Silly girl!
After painting, Malia and Luke were more than happy to play with some toys as Spencer finished up.

We're looking forward to picking up the pieces in a couple weeks to see what the finished products look like!
