This morning we began the day with our second Skype call. Malia is already winning over the hearts of her grandpas, aunts, uncles and cousins. We've got another one scheduled for tomorrow! We cannot wait for you all to see her in person! She is the most precious little girl and we are so blessed to be able to call her ours!
Then I was off to our guides' room to turn in the paperwork for our US Consulate appointment, which is scheduled in a few days. We ate a quick lunch at Micky D's and then headed to the Sun yat-sen Memorial Hall. To get there we took the subway!!
Buying tokens ...
The tokens felt like checker pieces! Plastic and very light.
Then we had to scan them to get through the turnstyle.
Not only was this Malia's first subway ride ...
... but it was Spencer's, too!

Sun Yet Sen is a very famous man to the Chinese and is considered their first President - the same as our George Washington. Here is Spencer and his Grandmas standing in front of the statue of this famous man.
Inside, we were treated to a 10th anniversary show filled with music, singing and dancing. It was really fun to watch.
This is also the place where I first changed a diaper on my lap while sitting on a toilet in a bathroom stall. There were squatty pottys in this bathroom, but I made a mad dash for the western stall! That's what happens when the changing pad is accidentally left in the hotel room. But we did it! No problem! Thank goodness Malia was cooperative!

Do you work for Hallmark...because you sure can make me tear up! Our pew at church felt very empty today I can't wait until you guys are back!!
What a great day it is to see the Grandmas holding Malia! She looks very happy as well. I hope everyone is bonding. The one with Spencer holding his sleeping sister is very cute!
Good job Jen on the diaper change in the bathroom. What??...no pics of that? LOL Just kidding. I can pretty much imagine it.

Yay, Grandmas!!! Malia looks so happy to be in their arms. I am sure she will learn early that gmas spoil a little more than mommy and daddy!!!

Living with dial up is just uncalled for, but cheap. I'll just have to see you all in person! She is adorable and looks so cuddly. Enjoy your last week in China!

Those pictures with the grandmas are so precious. The smiles on their faces tell it all!!! I am sure this is going to be one little girl with grandmas and grandpas wrapped around her little finger!! Spencer you have got "the touch". She looks so relaxed sleeping on your shoulder. You are certainly a super big brother!! Take care and we wish you great days for your last few days in China.
