May 25th was not only the last day of school, it was the last day of 6th grade and the last day of elementary school. Yes, I know I may sound a little sentimental, but I'm really having a hard time with my "baby" going into junior high next year. Where has the time gone? Where did my baby go? I'm continually amazed at just how quickly our children grow up. It's unbelievable how our time waiting for Malia drags on and on and on, but our time with Spencer speeds forward at the sound of light! What a paradox!

Here's Spencer with some of his buds. He really does have a good group of friends. This is an area that we pray for on a very regular basis. We realize that peer relations play a big role in life and we want Spencer to be surrounded by peers who bring out the best in him.
This is the look Spencer flashed me when the perfect attendance awards were announced. If you remember, he chose to join us for fingerprint day and it was the only day he missed all year. This has happened several times for the poor guy. One year he only missed half a day because I thought he had pink-eye and took him to the doctor - after all, it is highly contagious. Turned out to just be allergies. Sorry, Buddy!

But, he did get an award for being in band. He's planning to continue with music in junior high, hoping to play the bass guitar and trumpet.
So hard to believe he's closed this big chapter of life. He sure does have some great memories to carry forward into the next chapters. We're so proud of you, Spencer!

What was Mom thinking? We could have put a patch over that eye. Pretended to be a pirate for a day.
We are so proud of the young man Spencer is becoming. We learn from example. The example he sees is what makes him part of who he is today.
Once he becomes involved in things in Jr/ Sr High School, the elementary years will soon fade some.
Just another step of maturing for Spencer and you, even though you may not realize it now.
We cant say enough how proud we are of all of you.
Much LOVE and Devotion
