Even though it was naptime, we decided to head on down to the beach instead. Keeping Rick and Spencer out of the water can take an army, plus I was excited to see how Malia reacted to the beach.

It came as no surprise that Malia wasn't afraid of the water. In fact, she was all smiles as can be seen in this picture.
Cousin Tamie thought it would be cool to write Malia's name in the sand. And it turned out great.
Spencer was quick to be out in the water far from shore - which scares his mother to death. He loves riding the waves - which he gets from his father.
Malia loved being out in the water, but also on the beach running and playing.

We were fortunate enough to be able to spend time at the beach every day this week. Malia loved it but seemed to be getting a little bored with it by the end of the week. Spencer was done by Wednesday because he got burned. And me ... well, you can barely tell I spent the week at a beach! Now, where did I put those fake tan lines?

Thank you each and everyone who made the vacation week so much fun even if you could only make a day or two. Almost everything a person could want...the sound of waves, sand, fun and laughter...except winning at the casino.
