8 MONTH GOTCHA ANNIVERSARY

Eight months ago today a precious ten and a half month old girl was placed into my arms. A dream come true ... a prayer answered. Today a spunky eighteen month old toddler prances around my living room with big smiles ... my daughter ... my answered prayer ... my dream come true.

Eight months ago today our family of three became a family of four.

Life has changed drastically in the last eight months. I resigned my ministry position at church and as of June 14th can say I am officially a full-time stay-at-home Mom. Spencer is learning the ups and downs of not only having a sibling, but one who isn't able to reason why it's not good to crinkle up his drawings, but loves to share his snacks. Rick has become the sole financial provider of our family, yet longs for the moments when he steps through the doors to our house at the end of every work day to a little girl who smiles and turns and runs away so her Daddy can catch her, pick her up and give her big hugs and kisses. And Malia, who has yet to realize all that has happened in her young life, seems to be loving life, having fun, and is utterly unaware of how much she has melted all of our hearts.

Wow...it seems like Malia has been in your family a lot more than 8 months. She has settled in quite nicely and has blossomed into quite a charming little girl. It's no wonder Rick loves coming home to his family, to adoring eyes and to loving arms. What a great blessing God has bestow on all of you (and us).
Our love & hugs,
