We will be attending three high school graduations this year. It's amazing to me how many young people we know or have a connection to that are graduating this year!
Our first graduation was for Alora, one of our youth group members. We've known Alora since she was in elementary school, and it was a privilege to be there and watch her cross the stage to receive her diploma. The ceremony was nice, when we were able to pay attention. Malia was having a ball and was not overly quiet about it. We were fortunate to be sitting around people who found her amusing. Spencer came up with a great way to keep her mouth occupied in attempt to keep her quiet ...

I happened to catch glances at Meg (another adoptive Mom, whose daughter is from Taiwan) and Avery across the gym. Avery seemed to be sitting so calmly and quietly in her momma's lap. And here was our daughter jumping and clapping and jabbering away.
The funniest moments that made us laugh were when she'd do a very wet and spitty "tthhrrrrrrrrp" as if she disagreed with something the speakers were saying. This girl is a character!
