Our precious Malia is 14 months old today! She has really blossomed in the three months she's been part of our family. Her personality has really started shining through and we love it.

And, let me just state for the record that I truly believe Malia will give herself a concusion by the age of two! She's like a little pinball bouncing off walls and doors and countertops. Last night she was walking down the hall, turned and started to make a dash but lost her sense of direction and ran straight into her bedroom door frame! I know the following picture doesn't show a bad lump (I took it this morning at breakfast), but last night it was red with a decent sized goose egg - and the girl barely cried!

Happy 14 month birthday! It has been such an amazing blessing being your Mommy these last three months. I've loved watching you grow and become more comfortable in your surroundings. I've loved watching how you've begun to smile and laugh more. I love how you charge into a room, throw open the door and just smile - like you're saying, "hello world, here I am!" I love that you feel free to wander and explore. I love watching your face as you see new things - sometimes with such serious interest and other times with shear delight. I love how you snuggle with me and allow me to love on you with hugs and kisses. I love experiencing your sweet gentleness when you pat me on the back when giving me hugs. I love how you kick your feet when being picked up because you're so excited. I love how you jibber-jabber and think it's funny that you're doing it louder now. I love when you get giddy when I understand what you want. I love how you cover your mouth with your hand and giggle. I love the sound of your voice saying "uh-oh" and "kitty cat." I love when you pucker up for kisses and say, "mmmmmmmmm."

Grandma and Grandpa R love you so very much and wish you a happy 14 month birthday! We agree with your mommy...we love to see your smile; your learning new things; how you like to play with your big brother; how you like to dance, give kisses and just be yourself. You are so beautiful. We are so very fortunate to have you in our lives and we hope you will say the same thing about us when you're older.
