Malia made her first appearance at church this past Sunday. It was such a wonderful day and she did fantastic amongst all the on-lookers. The children at church were so sweet and gentle with her. Malia seemed to enjoy the music and was kicking her leg as I held her and sang. She loved looking around and, as is her nature, just took it all in.
The day was made incredibly special during the morning's special music time. Alora, one of our youth group members, sang the song Cinderella by Steven Curtis Chapman. On the big screen came video of Rick and Malia dancing followed by pictures of little girls from our church and their daddies. It was very touching and had both Rick and myself in tears, along with several others I'm sure.
It was a day we'd looked forward to for so long. Thank you to everyone who helped welcome us home and, more importantly, welcomed Malia into her new church family!
