HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

From my heart to yours, I wish all you mothers a very happy Mother's Day! And, for all you mothers-in-waiting, I'm sending you extra big cyber hugs this Mother's Day. What a privilege and blessing motherhood is, and your day to be a mommy will come!

Me & Spencer D

We started our day by celebrating with our church family, then headed to Rick's sister's house to enjoy some time with family. We had a wonderful lunch and even better company.

We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and spent time on the patio just talking and laughing. The kids played a lot of catch with a football and even spent some time digging to China in a dirt pile out back. I told them to let me know if they saw Malia so we could bring her home.

Digging to China?

After a couple hours we headed over to my hometown and were in for a great treat. Our nephew had a Pizzazz permformance (I know, on Mother's Day???) which is a singing and dancing group. It was wonderful!!! and big K did a fantastic job!!! And to top things off, there was an adorable Asian girl on stage who just stole my heart.

Afterwards we headed back to my parent's house for pizza and ice cream cake (remember, my family loves ice cream cake!) and, of course, time to catch up and enjoy each other's company.

Today was a truly wondeful day. In addition to the time we were able to spend with our families, Spencer made me a card with an adorable poem and hand-drawn picture of me that just about made me cry (the card, not the picture - haha). And, I'm excited to receive my present in the mail ... a shirt that says "Expecting from China."

Rumor Update: Early rumors indicate that this next referral batch could shock our socks off! Two sources have offered an inside scoop. One is saying the cutoff date could be November 16th. A second is saying that it could be the 21st. Once again, it's important to remember that these are rumors. But they sure are exciting!

I couldnt agree with you more. Yesterday was a perfect day all around. It is such a gift to be able to spend the day with family.
We had great food, beautiful weather and a perfect time spent laughing and laughing and enjoying the time watching the kids play and entertain us. The sound of childrens laughter is music to the ears. We are so fortunate to have our family all so close by that the cousins can enjoy each other.
I wish Amanda and Rick could get their postions in the family figured out. My goodness. They seem confused and disoriented all the time.
As always
Much devotion and love to you all
