Ohhhh the joy of letterboxing! Do you like scavenger hunts? Do you like searching for treasure? Do you enjoy solving clues and riddles? Do you like hiking? If so, letterboxing may be the hobby for you! We're getting ready to hide a letterbox out on our church grounds with our Pioneer Clubs kids. I was trying to carve the stamp out of a rubber cement eraser today and sliced the side of my thumb. And we have fingerprints tomorrow!!! And to top things off, the rubber cement eraser really doesn't give a very clear stamp impression, so we probably won't even use it.
We're also going to be putting together some boxes to hide at an environmental science center in our home town and over in Illinois when we go in May for our family reunion. This is a blessing because it helps pass this excruciating wait for our Malia. Can't wait to take her with us!
Anyway, if you want to find out more about letterboxing click here for the Letterboxing North America website and here for the Atlas Quest website. They'll both fill you in on this fun pasttime, and both have clues for your own letterboxing adventures!

Now you dont want to get me started on this. You know how I love games. My mind is already racing. Naughty Naughty DIL.....she is teasing her MIL with a brain over load.
This sounds like such fun. I am glad you have this to pass your time...(you dont have enough to do already?)....
Huge hugs and Kisses to all
Have fun with your little adventure of Hide and Find.
If you hadn't been talking about this before, I'd be a little confused on why you want to put all your letters in boxes. :)
It would be fun to go with you sometime. My energy level isn't that energized any more, so wouldn't do on my own. What fun memories Spencer and Malia will have of their growing up years and all you do with them. Have you decided on your LB name yet?
Love, hugs, kisses & smiles,
Mom & Dad R
