Our journey to Malia

Welcome to Our China Adoption Journey!

We are so excited to be able to share this incredible journey to our daughter with you. We began our journey on July 1, 2005 when we mailed off our application to our adoption agency, Children's Hope International. Since then we have completed the paperchase and have a log-in-date of February 9, 2006. So far, we are 19 months into our journey and anxiously awaiting our turn to be matched with our precious daughter, Malia. It's been a rollercoaster of a ride so far. Some say that adoption is not for the weak of heart - and we can attest to the struggles and frustrations. But for us, we know the journey will be worth all the twists and turns. We welcome you to join in on the ride with us!

We are anxiously awaiting Malia's arrival. It is amazing how long and all that is involved with the adoption. Kudo's to Rick and Jen for having the determination to stick with the whole process.
We love you all so very much.

I totally agree that adoption is not for the weak at heart. It is so emotional, but as an adoptive mommy of two beautiful internationally adopted girls, I can attest to the fact that in the end, it is all most definately worth it and somehow you forget so much of the drama and fall in love with adoption!!!!

Hi Guys...so glad your Mom gave us your blog address...now as your Mom's Ya Ya Sisters we can keep track along with you....Since we are your Mom's "sisters"...does this make us Malia's "great aunts"?

I know it must be hard for all of you to be patient...but in His time your little girl will be cared for by her loving family...Sue G.
