We headed to Illinois for our annual family reunion and had tons of fun, as usual. Here are Spencer and Malia ready for all the action!
It seems as though my children always make a name for themselves at our family reunion. When Spencer was a little older than Malia he stripped down naked in the sand volleyball pit. He's now known as the sandlot kid. This year, Malia made a name for herself. I like to call her the mud princess. It all started out innocent enough ... just watching the other kids getting started with their annual water fight.

She gradually got a little braver and moved in closer to the action.

See, playing in this water is a lot of fun! No harm done!

And the water toys are fun to play with.
As we got ready for the raffle (which we did outside of the pavilion this year since it was so hot), it was fun to watch Malia play in the water. It kept her very occupied, which allowed us some time to relax and enjoy winning all our goodies. Here's Rick getting ready to win a Blue Ray player. He looks pretty confident, doesn't he?

Here are my parent's wondering if they bought enough tickets.

And then there's Uncle Stan ... he's been doing this far too long!
And while we did all the raffle prizes, Malia continued to play in the water. Just look at these shoes!

And this face!
And, this is why I now call her my mud princess.
Each year the kids like to decorate their own kite and enter them in the judging contest. Spencer did his kite in about 20 minutes and won $20 for his efforts.
Nice job, Spencer!
Love our family! We hang tough! We hang tough together!
