So, today was not only the first day of school, but the first day of HIGH SCHOOL for Spencer! Unbelievable that my "baby" is old enough to be a freshman in high school. Seriously ... where has the time gone?!?!
I'm so proud of my son. He's such a good kid with a great sense of humor. He loves to joke around and have fun. He's a great artist and his talent is improving as can be seen in his drawings. I continue to pray God's will for his life, and look forward to seeing him continue to grow into a godly man.
Usually on the first day of school Spencer will call his Dad at work so Rick can wish him well. Today, however, was Grandma Chig's funeral, so Rick was home and they got to talk in person.
Here is Rick wishing Spencer well on his first day of school (all staged, of course, because the two cannot be serious sometimes)...

Spencer D...where has the time gone? Grandma and Grandpa are very proud of the young man you are. We love you bunches!
