MALIA'S DEDICATION

Today was Malia's dedication at church. We all dressed up in our Chinese silks for this special occasion.

At our church, the dedication is more for the parents, who are dedicating themselves to being parents who will raise up their child in a godly home - teaching them the ways of the Bible. But, of course, the star is the child ... or, should I say, the blessing. We were especially happy that our friend and Pastor included Spencer, asking him to dedicate himself as Malia's big brother to help raise her up to love God.

We had lots of family join us for this special occasion. Thank you all for sharing in this blessed event!

Malia,
Our sweet daughter, we pray that someday you will come to believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior! May the hope, joy and peace that can only come from Him fill your life. We will do our best as parents (and big brother) to be good role models and raise you up in the ways of the Lord. And, we pray that He fill in the gaps we will inevitably leave. We are so blessed to have the opportunity to watch you grow, and look forward to seeing the mighty ways God will work in your life. We love you with all our hearts, sweet girl!
Love, your Mom and Dad (and Big Brother)

Miss Malia, you are so blessed to have such a special mother, father and big brother who love the Lord and will make sure they do their best to guide you in your own personal relationship with him as well. I love to see you in their arms each and every Sunday at church.

The adoption was long, but what a true blessing he has poured out on your family.

Blessings to you in the days ahead as you continue to bond as a Christian family.
