Just wanting to catch up to have a couple things journaled. First, this past Thursday evening (January 22) we had our first post-adoption home visit with our social worker. It went great, despite the fact Miss Malia decided to opt out of her afternoon nap that day. We got to talk all about Malia and how she's doing. It's hard to believe that in only a couple weeks we'll have had Malia for three months. On the other hand, it seems like she's been with us for much longer than that.
Secondly, on Friday I headed to a lawyer's office to begin the procedure to register our adoption with our state. We're fortunate that our state does not require us to readopt. Yippee! More paperwork behind us. Someday it will ALL be behind us.

What is the registering of the adoption? Is this something for China only? We have never done this for either of the girls. Maybe it's something new???
