Melody's team received three more truck loads of supplies to deliver. Isn't it awesome how needed items continue to keep coming in?!? And, how awesome that there are people on the frontlines willing to deliver them.
Melody and her team are on the road once again - back to Wenchuan Orphanage to deliver supplies. Here is a quote from her blog ...
"We received a request from Wenchuan Orphanage for food, an electric generator, and more supplies today and we gathered all the items and contacted Red Cross for Jeeps to send them in. Wenchuan Orphanage is to the Northwest of Wenchuan City. There are two roads to the orphanage: one is closed often as the pictures show here; the other is through Yaan, Maoerkang and will take 2 days to travel one way. We are determined to go because the children there have no water and electric supplies."
The following pictures were taken on the 19th during a previous trip that Melody's team made to Wenchuan Orphanage.
Can you imagine seeing this all in person? Let alone traveling them! Melody reports that internet access will be very limited over the next few days as they travel to and from Wenchuan Orphanage. I'll try not to suffer withdrawal symptoms!
